What is the Apples to Apples® game?

“Apples to Apples®” is a play on the old phrase “comparing apples to oranges.” In this game, the object is to compare one thing to something like it – and to make the best comparison to win the round. Players are dealt red cards with nouns on them, and the “judge” is dealt a green card with an adjective. Each player decides on a noun to go with the judge’s adjective, and the judge chooses the best one. Then another player becomes judge, and a round starts again. Players win by making the most matches.
